Notable by its absence from these posts is the Californian mist. Every morning we wake up to see the mist lying over the ocean, drive through it along Highway 1 at which point the temperature drops by 10-15 degrees and the world takes on an eery, movie-esque "something is about to happen" feel and at night we watch the sun set into it. However, words simply cannot describe the reality of seeing this amazing occurrence each day and therefore I will leave it to our pictures, which whilst not a touch on the real thing, can do a better job at explaining it than I can!
